These were so popular pre-Covid, we've increased these and put on 4 dates for winter 2021-2022!
In December, the experience coincides with the annual Geminid's meteor shower. It's a spectacular display. Delivering up to 120 meteors per hour during its peak, it'll take your breath away.
In February, we'll be walking by the light of the full moon which is simply magical. On clear nights, you'll see moon shadows. And you'll still be able to see constellations and stars as North York Moors National Park is one of the best places to star-gaze. It's now an International Dark Sky Reserve, so light pollution is low.
But regardless of whether you see the stars or not, walking at night is an incredibly powerful way of reconnecting you to nature. Standing on top of wild moor, you can't help but feel more alive. And this really is a wild moor. Great Fryup Dale is located right in the centre of the National Park and has huge vistas.
To increase your sense of wellbeing, we've included a calming, indoor yoga session. Combined with a mindful night walk, your feel-good factor will be ramped up even more. You'll learn lots about the night sky too.
Obviously we cannot guarantee the weather or you'll see meteors or stars. If cloudy or raining we'll do some mindful walking in the dark (now that's an experience) and talk to you about the universe. For more information view this on our website
The whole experience will last roughly 4-4.5 hours.
The walk will be between 3 - 4 miles, the hill is very steep in places. Be prepared for rough ground and mud too.
Obviously we cannot guarantee the weather. Nevertheless, your safety and enjoyment is of utmost importance to us. During or after extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to change the route, postpone or cancel the event.PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ OUR FAQS
BEFORE BOOKING since it includes our Covid and cancellation policy. Thank you.
